When I got to where you were at 3:43, my only options are Reset, Load, Save, and Replace Shapes. Do I have to download the 10-pointed star from somewhere?
It's rotating 90 degrees, not 45.
Superb!
dude i love ya
Greta tutorial! I have Photoshop CS5 Extended (64-bit)… Is this tutorial compatible with my software? Thanks for your time in making this info available for those of us who can make use of it.
Marty, you are amazing, I followed you step by step but when you got to the gradient tool, I don't have that foreground to background area on my gradient screen. All my screen says is custom and I cannot seem to change it. I searched around but did not see any other way to get to this, so I had to stop. If you get a chance to tell me how to access that I would love to follow through. In the meantime, I will google around and see if I can get some help. Thank you so much, I am learning a lot from you and I so appreciate it. TY!!
Thanks! Awesome video, it helped a lot. I've uploaded my experiment to

Johny 166. What if I want to use multiple images, how would I do that?
This tutorial was so helpful and fantastic! Wonderful pace, perfect video. Thanks so much!
WHY WOULD HE MAKE THIS TUTORIAL if it did??? lol
LOL! No, that is why photoshop is better. because you actually make most of your art and effects. Corel, lol
Wow! great job, easy tutorial. I hate degrees anyway, I know what I want in my head, so I have to flip it twice, so what. (;lol)
That is so easy! Thank you so much. I was watching it like, wow, so easy, why couldn't I just think of that?!?!?
when you've turned all the images, just overlay all of them in the layers option and merge layers… or copy visible layers – paste – go gradient the crap out of it done…. 1 minute patterns YAY 🙂
johny166…your right! Thanks for the catch.
i think you ment 90 degrees instead of 45. great video never the less, was very helpful to me, i love kaleidoscopes and it showed me some other neat ps tricks that i wasnt aware of. thanks
lovely! thankyouu!!!
Amber Lau…Yes.
Can I do it with CS5?
GodsAlmightyKingdom…none that comes packaged with the software.
I did a tutorial showing how to make a retro "bling" jewelry and another tut on how to make sparking, star-filled text. Regarding seamless patterns, I did another one that shows a background of seamless, retro wallpaper as part of a larger tut about putting a b/w image in an old TV screen.
I love this tutorial! Very informative and easy to understand. I would like to see more like this. Have you done a video for how to create glitter styles or any styles and also seamless patterns? Your a great teacher!
I love the end result.
Such a nice coloured fx.
Thank you, Marty.
This was a fun one.
Love your tutorials, Marty.
