Repekt, ein so geniales Tutorial. Ich bin begeistert und will es selbst probieren. Danke für dieses ausgewöhnlich gute Material und deine fabelhafte Arbeit!
I know this is an older video. One thing I liked about the Harry Potter effect was how the excess energy would fall like thick liquid or lava. Your effect doesn't include this. Could you possibly do a new video about how to accomplish that effect?
Omg this is sooo amazing
Why u useing Mac?;
Let me know what is your vfx software i wanna try your tutorial .
How do you get the ground floor to disappear? I still see the plane with the glow colors, instead of just the glow colors.
I am using blender 2.79 and I can't find the map to bounds selection in the texture tab (at 52:45) plz help
I followed this tutorial exact. I was at 47:10 and test rendered like you did. And my smoke was extremely thick. It’s been thick from when I first made it and I’ve tried everything and the smoke won’t get any thinner. Any solutions?
30:23 FINALLY!
nothing shows up when I hit render please help me
sir this software name???????
Awesome! My Filmora went moronic on me. Been looking for new video editing software. Been using Blender now for months but never video.
I am stoked! Thanks for the vids!
cool
What are the trackers for?
I [GUESS] you were wrong. I think you just have to put the force fields to work in both layers
Great tutorial!
Just please find a different place for the microphone, because the keyboard noises it picks up are a bit distracting 🙂
how did you move the camera
"tad bit of magic"
didn't know that you can do that cool VFX in Blender
I Russian boy and don't understand what you're saying, but thank you so much for this beautiful lesson
Is there a free app that does this (or similar to this, I want to make a HP fan video)
It's so sad that many people think Blender is a bad piece of software and refuse to use, even though you could practically create a whole movie with it… Just look at this, and everything that's possible with it!
Hey CG Geek I have got a question/problem: I can´t choose the colour of the smoke. There is not the possibility to choose that. Also not in your project. How can I choose the colour?Could you help?
When I render it, the domain box appeared. So I choose the voxeldeta, but the smoke turned white…
Please tell me how to render it.

Great tutorial! I will be using these techniques for my next video! I like how you include the parts of the video where you make mistakes in blender and try to figure it out. It works as a learning experience for you as well as your viewers rather than just editing it out completely. You've earned a sub from me! Stellar work mate!
First of all, thanks for the fantastic tutorial!!! I know this is not the place to start learning the software but I actually started learning Blender with with your tutorial on this effect. 🙂 It's also really good that you ran into the problems with the smoke since I had those exact same problems.
I just quickly wanted to ask tip for how to get the light so intense in the middle of the beam. Like… the lightning effect. I set up the sphere-light and made particle system emit that light with the smoke, but it turns out like this:

How do you get it that lightning-like? Mine looks nothing like that 😀 Can you perhaps see here which step I have forgotten?
