Very well done mate! Thank you and thank you to B&H for having this seminar…you guys ROCK!!!
What lens is he shooting, most of the pictures looks to separated from background almost looks like it is just photoshopped into the background
the Trump photo is overexposed.
Wow. I learned a lot in such a relatively brief video. I recently went to BH when I was in NYC— overwhelming, but it’s got everything. Like a city block in size.
Fantastic creativity
many people do not like to be photoed, this could be a problem…My advise is get a very good powerful telephoto lens and go to town…….Otherwise you could get arrested or be in a heated dispute, especially if youngsters are in your lens, or young females……be safe, get that telephoto lens….
BRIAN,
What is your protocol and workflow for portrait subject releases? Especially in the field
Thanks!
Great photographer, but boring as hell
15:10 soooo her name is Elaine LaLanne… wow, that's a good one.
Gotta laugh at all these whiners complaining about the length of the video, or the fact that he doesn't provide a technical cheat sheet. This is why you'll never be a great photographer.
36:05 your future 45th American President. FAAAAAK
Interesting talk – thanks for sharing.
Nice interesting presentation.
Do you want to set yourself apart as a photographer? Then listen to the fine points of what sets these top photographers apart.
Except the flag blows one direction and the tie another lol
The photographer has some stunning portraits which we'd all like to study at at length, however, far too much of this shoot is of the photographer rocking, rocking, rocking back and forth and back and forth, which drives you nuts. We should be looking at the photographs while he talks, not at HIM! He rocks back and forth, from one foot to the other, continually, which is hugely irritating to watch. And he's not the only one of your photo instructors who does this terrible rocking business. Bob Straus does the same thing. It's awful. For heavens sake, teach these guys something about how to lecture and learn yourselves how to film these lectures – the intent is for us to see and understand the PHOTOS, not have to look at this guy talking WAY TOO LONG about trivial stuff, swaying and swaying and rocking and rocking incessantly while not giving us much information at all about how he lit the images or what lens he used. Your videographers have MUCH to learn.
Thanks great presentation very informative
cant see any redeeming purpose in looking at pagan guys on a downer, much less take their pic!
What a terrible video! Just a promo with very few interesting ideas. All his ideas are obvious. If he shoots like he talks, he'll fail as a photographer.
This should be renamed to "learn portrait photography from Kevin Spacey"…I Can't be the only one to see it
