My first tutorial! A simple tutorial on how to put your signature or a watermark on a photo using GIMP. If you want the © symbol just add a text layer and include it too. I forgot to mention resizing the signature layer but you can probably figure that out right? Just got to layer menu then resize… To down load GIMP go to http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

Thanks David, I've watched several videos of different ways to do this but yours is by far the best and easiest!
is there a way to resize the layer? Signature is too big
What is the icon you used to select the black in the image? I could not identify it.

Great tutorial. my only issue i have is when i scan in an image of my signature it is spotted/faded looking in pixels so when i do the color grab it only grabs the pixels that are the same color leaving the rest which looks bad in the copy.
any ideas on a around this?
Excellent first tutorial video! Thank you, it's very helpful.
My layer with my signature won't move. It will only take the image and move it around. Any suggestions? I do like your tutorial! The problem is on my end.
Thanks for sharing, it worked great!
Thank You!
Thank you so much! This really helped a lot!
By the way, I DO have one question though… what if you have a very small signature and want to make it larger while it's already on the photograph? (and the signature is still in a different layer).
