  1. I am currently stuck at 1:11:29 . When I extrude and scale, it locks to the mirror modifier and scales along the middle line. Any ideas? Also, as helpful as it is sometimes, I dont know how to exit the sort of half solid half wireframe mode. Does anyone know what I am talking about? thanks

  2. Interesting tutorial, very instructive, thanks!

    There are some things that seemed a little awkward to me. For example, for most parts of the modeling, you were actively fighting against your own edge-split and subdiv-modifiers. Why not do only the driver's cabin with them, and model the rest as individual blender objects, then parent them together, just like you did for the detail objects? Also, when you need a "round" cut-out, why not use the boolean modifier together with an appropriate cylinder to do the grunt work, instead of positioning vertices by hand to form a circle?
    Other than that, very nice work, seems like a rather clean mesh in the end.

  3. I don't know how to contact you cg geek and the only way I can try is through the comments. Can you make a tutorial series for using blender from scratch? I am trying to use as little wifi as possible can you help me with that?

  4. You introduce a few editing tools that I haven't used before, like the proportional editing tool. That's a big help even if I don't want to build a Star Wars Tie fighter. Just watching how a pro works is very educational. Even your mistakes were helpful because they showed some of the other features of the tools you used.

    Thanks for all the effort you put into this.

  5. I just recently found blender and have started to try and learn the program , i have followed a few of your tutorials but those was on my laptop which after so long just crashed ha ha. Having bought a new pc , which is seeming to handle blender pretty smoothly i have continued to use yours and a few others to enjoy the full potential of this program. I just wanted to say a big thank you for your tutorials , which are very clear , very informational and easy to follow. Although i am simply following step by step at the moment , once i have picked up a few things i hope to let my own creativeness grow and its people like your self that help us new users of such a overwhelming program become atleast able to create our own creations. Its very much appreciated bud , i hope you continue to help the new people and advanced because you have a natural way whithin your tutorials that my self and i imagine others just want to continue watching.   6. I'm not understanding how to flatten the wing extrusion nubs at 20:0020:30. I extrude from my sphere, scale along the Z for that slight angle. But when I try and scale X for those faces they just shrink back into the sphere, as opposed to flattening long the nub end. Tried hitting Enter after extrusion, re-selecting faces then scaling along X, but got same result. Any help greatly appreciated.
