The Important of Preparation in Autumn Photography

The season of colorful leaves and pumpkin spice everything is upon us, and just like those orange coffee drinks, the vibrant foliage of fall is a fleeting presence. Are you and your camera ready for it? The time to prepare for autumn photography is now.

Coming to you from Simon Baxter, this great video discusses preparation for autumn photography. Even photographers who do not normally shoot landscapes like to head out with their camera during this time of year (and it can be a great way to augment your work in other genres like portraiture), but the period of maximum vibrancy is often frustratingly short, and as such, it is beneficial to have a plan in place for how you are going to approach things. Taking an afternoon to go scouting before the leaves start to turn can allow you to really get the most out of the period and come home with a lot more shots than just improvising, and you will be less stressed as well! Check out the video above for the full rundown from Baxter.
