The blonde in the sweater and short black skirt. Such a quintessential 90s alternative girl look. The only thing that would set her look over the top would be a pair of Doc Martens.
back when media play had little listening stations i put this album on having never heard anything by them and bought it after listening to the whole thing.
I was in kindergarten when this song came out, I remember listening to it then and I still listen to it now, why can't we have songs like this in 2018? The verve pipe represents what bands should be now.
This was the first TVP song I heard and it got me to buy the album (on cassette!), which rocked. A few months later I realized the only song they were known for was Freshman, and like most others in the comments I agree this one was way better.
Holy crap I loved this song when it came out. Got plenty of radio time back in Chicago 1997. Im pretty sure the lyrics are still "I'm a fool turned graph."
That synth or keyboard part has been a tune that popped in my head on a weekly basis for the past ten years or so and I could never peg it down…. finally!!! It's been FOREVER since I've heard this.

He composed and sung the song colorful from the rockstar movie..
I remember having this underground CD called ' Slam City Era Jam'. I wish someone would download it to here
I'm getting sick of Elle King commercials that I can't skip. I'm not into her music.
Sorry, just wanted to say that. Cheers to the Verve Pipe!
I was taking a shower after work and this song just piped into my head with the band name after like 7 years
He is my hero!
Bryan is way to awesome. Gonna hire him to teach me to play the ukelele. Actually, just want to hear his life stories.

And yeah, also agree with whoever said Ominous Man is the best song on the album.

Yo, the 90's were so amazing. This song takes me all the way back to "Freshman" year.
not a huge fan of crash riding on the cymbals , but it fits well in this song…

A better vocal performance and this song would be really good. Feel like he didn't sound that good.
these are the world's very first, therefore very best, selfies before they even became invented ! 😀
Man, Vander Ark wrote some fantastic lyrics….don't miss veneer…"puddle jumping children clad in yellow raincoats splash the deeper purple….of veneer"
But I'll take you back Joey Tribbiani
love the lyrics and the energy and everything ….they are awesome
I never knew this song had a video. Nice. I still jam out to Villains and I had the biggest crush on Brian. I so miss 1997.
Just an amazing Song.
They are a lot like Husker Du from the 80s except Verve Pipe can really craft a catchy pop rock song!
December 2017, anyone?
I feel like I want to watch Buffy or Charmed now…
saw verve pipe in concert with tonic, didnt care for tonic left after verve pipe
I'm here because i heard this song on the radio… 20 years ago. Love it!
This was the first album I bought: was in 3rd grade and listened to it over 1000 times easily.
Nickleback would LOVE to be able to do a song with so much meaning, you must be high, higher than i will ever be able to get.
I was 15 when this album dropped. It was such a great time for music, then. Real glad I was a teen in this era.
love this song, its very nineties, and a legend…
Cool!
It took me 21 years to find this song. I remember hearing it in 1996 when I was 13. How did we go from this to All about that Bass?
always liked this band
Love this song and album

This video reminds me of Smells like teen spirit
I'm 59 with a heart of a 25 yr old and I love this song. And the 80' and 90's music was the bomb. Keep rolling !!
