You might remember Izy also came to cook some gorgeous stop motion melt in the middle cookie with us a while back, which you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I9nJMzufyk

What type of lense is recommended?
Very strong strong workphlo here. I'd love to see How to photograph wine bottles or how to photograph cosmetic products. Or even simple speedlight product photography!

Nice job
Great tips! This will definitely help my blog and my personal brand. Thank you!
Ben looks so studious. It's almost like he's sitting front row for a college lecture.
All the ladies photographer I know (literally 100% of them) are afraid of artificial light sources. I am not joking. They telling bs stories and excuses about wrong color temperatures, harshness of light and stuff. Bull KAKA! Learn your equipment, learn the techniques. Nobody shoots product photography using natural light only. C'mon!!! Use your heads.
I wonder if they ended up doin it
wooww this is helpful! now i have a knowledge about food photography 🙂
sweet photos:)
What is this girl talking about. ONLY natural light? She isn't a real photographer then. I see beautiful food photography all over the internet and it's all shot with studio lighting.
Great tips! I need to practice more!
This is the most helpful tutorial I've seen in a while. Thank you so much!
That nice sounds but the reality is far away.
Real lighting and post-production here is not revealed.
You should have told her to look at you when she's talking, not the camera. She kept switching back and forth because she didn't know what to do.
nice vid!
brilliant tutorial! I learned a lot! thanks, I'll definitely uses some of these tips and tricks! aging thanks!
Does anyone have recommendations for a good tripod that can also be used for overhead shots? I'm trying to buy one and I'm having terrible luck in finding a good quality one.
Great video and tips! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for nice tips, i just have one questions and really annoying me when am taking food pictures from above, first i like to using a tripod always to keep photos very sharp, but the problem is the lens zoom keep slips :S is there any solution for that ??
P.S. am using 24-105 canon
Nice
nice intro video.. however, i quite disagree on what was said about the light in the beginning. why is natural light better than artificial light source? because u can not make artificial light more directional or diffused?? this can be nicely done by using off-camera flash (or flashes), together with any kind of softbox or umbrella! actually, even the bed sheet would work with flash if people do not want to spend extra money. and the comment that artificial light can cause a colour cast, thats just another excuse. for this case, we can set a colour temperature either in camera (if shooting JPG) or tweak it later on (if shooting RAW). and to sum it up, i would prefer artificial light which gives me more consistency in results as i do not have to think what is the weather today – is it cloudy, sunny, raining? does not matter because with flash i can re-create exactly same conditions every day, even at night!
there is no right or wrong, natural light is as great as any other light source you decide to use. just do not be afraid to work with flash. it is an amazing helper once you become friends 🙂
nice effort…. but your instruction is for very beginner people.
i would like to see the second part of this vid. want to know more about color psychology and frame composition for food photography
Oh my god! This is professional food photography as a treadmill is an olympic sport. LOL 🙂
its a good introduction … but i felt like i did not learn anything new or advance
that was great and easy to follow thank you izy!
What kind of SLR uses for the still life ? ( CANON …… )
Love this tutorial 🙂
Ben looked like he pretended to understand what Izy said.
Ben should call his foodblog 'and a sprig of mint'
Awesome! Food photography is such a good area to work in.
Really helpful video, Thank you!!!
Cool to see her approach to food photography and what she uses in a food photo shoot. Thanks 🙂
Ben she is your soulmate
Finally, actual tips and knowledge, instead of pretentious gits babbling on about their life! Well done!
