Anyone know why the option to change the render device in the render panel is missing on my computer??
I have a pretty decent gpu but i can only change the display.
I have rtx2080 ti
what if you linked together 20 gtx1080s lmao
Very nice
Blender version 2.79 or 2.8?
Just one word
Thanks
You should try autotile add-on to let blender calculate the size of tiles to use corresponding to cuda GPU or CPU number
Actually a large majority of computers has got GPU. The problem is that blender uses cuda that is only for Nvidia. Intel or Radeon users need opencl that is open source but the support from blender is not available (or with testing options but that doesn't work for the majority).
Error
great vid mate. Dunno what the fuss and negativity is about
how do you get blender to remember these i have to set up everything all the time
hi how to fast blender without graphic card
At 6:32 I turned on auto tile and then I am having problem to render anything on blender with GPU. My gpu model is GTX1050ti.
I always get this error. But if I use cpu I can render please help.Error that I am getting
"CUDA error: illegal address in cuCtxSynchronize(),line 1372"
What cpu ,ram, gpu i need so i won't have problems with rendering and modeling ?
I never turn off caustics because I prefer absolute realism. To me,it does matter to keep them on. I don't have a GPU and I can't even afford one,so I'm stuck with the CPU.
I love the quality of your videos. Please please please… would you betray some informations about your video setting? Cam and light… Thanks for the high quality tutorials!
You missed one of the most important optimizations: Scene > Simplify > AO Bounces Render. Set it to 2 for scenes without things behind glass and 3-4 if you have lots of glass. Then, you can set your samples to 5 min 5 max for best results. The AO Bounces setting treats all materials as diffuse after X bounces and it reduced the render time of my short film (see my channel) to a half of the previous time.
https://youtu.be/nb6rSMAooDs?t=18m11s there is another way to speed up render also with "simplify"(blender guru TUTO
)
Is your door ajar? You know, that distracting beeping sound every 15 seconds? 🙂
Just a note: all those optimizations depend on what you are modelling. Transparency should be taken with utmost caution, without some settings or with set too low, they appear either completely black or rough and clouded.
Denoising also may cause artifacts, that could be fixed in photoshop but sometimes its better/easier wait a little longer for denoisier to blur noise properly rather than seeing fireflies, especially on animations.
Newest versions of Blender will have CPU + GPU rendering together! Good times.
R u Remington graphics??l?!!?!!
Blender Guru covered it already
finally someone thats on the mic thats not andrew price
u have the same gpu as me! Why arent you using a Titan X or some s**t like other youtubers do?
Sorry for the language!
5:12 Reflective caustics on your face? Maybe a car driving past…
Please tell me which laptop is best in render
good job bro nice video <3
I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop 15R N5110 with corei7 and Nvidia GT525M and it renders faster with CPU 😮
Thanks for the tutorial
Why is this video here? CG Cookie – synonym of great tutorials. This s*itty video shouldn't be here.
Most important thing I learned from this video is that I put my pop filter on my boom arm the wrong way XD (have same boom, mic, and filter)
No more saggy filter!
I like this guy's videos.
remington cookie
uber fast optimizations? you just turned your gpu and denoiser on
Great job, man! How about tutor's on russian? May be you can take in your team a man, how can speaks on russian? Thank you!
Do the GPU rendering works with both Nvidia and AMD? What series are supported?
I tried Cycles in my workplace with a old Nvidia Quadro (FX 580, I think) and GPU rendering don't work.
1st get rid of the jazz piano playing the whole time . 2nd get rid of having yourself on screen talking the whole time. Makes no sense to have a 2nd audio and video on top of what your presenting . You my as well put a 3rd in there like a TV playing too the whole time it is just so stupid!
In my experience auto tile size tends to crash blender in complex scenes, if that happends, turn off auto tile and play aroud with it until it works
Should have shown the render results so we could compare the quality… there's no point in minimising render time if you gonna loose quality…
