10 Camera and Flash Settings You Should Know for Macro Photography

Code Canyon

Macro photography is a very rich and rewarding genre, but it also comes with some of the most specific and specialized knowledge and equipment requirements of any photographic pursuit. If you are new to macro photography, check out this fantastic video that discusses a multitude of camera and light settings you need to know for macro photography.

Coming to you from Micall Widell, this excellent video discusses a wide range of settings you need to know for your camera and flash for macro work. Macro work takes some special considerations; for example, depth of field is viciously thin, and lighting can be really tricky (especially if you are working with live subjects). Don’t let that deter you, though; the wonderful thing about macro photography is that there is almost always a veritable plethora of potential subjects within arm’s reach, making it a fantastic way to just enjoy photography on your own time, especially if you are stuck inside a lot right now. Check out the video above for a lot of helpful information from Widell.
