It uses Maya and Substance painter, both available with free student license options. This series covers poly modeling tools and strategies and UV layout in Maya. It also covers baking and texturing with Substance Painter.

    if to color a prop modeled in maya I want to use the shaders without texture directly, in that case do you need to insert the UV or not?
