FINAL PROJECT: http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/4223/treefinalmedium.png
Hello! It’s been a while, as a thank for all the support (And non support haha) I have quite a series for you. This is a full length video series of my entire process making the bonsai tree listed above.
This tutorial will cover making the base mesh in zbrush using zpheres, sculpting the base mesh into a high detail high poly mesh also in zbrush, taking it into maya for retopologizing and then the UV mapping which will also be in maya.
Hopefully you’ll all enjoy it and thanks a lot for watching. Remember to rate the videos appropriately to what you think of them, dislike and like relatively. It helps me get to know what my viewers think of my videos.

I like the music alot!
so how do you do re-topology in Maya. what tools are you using? in the past I have used 3d coat but I would like to understand how you are doing it in Maya because i know in Maya you can have the x-ray shading which far as I know is not in 3d coat
@Brygelsmack Practice 🙂
Why are you bothering with retop if it's just for a render?
bahaha Alucard XD I came for the dammed leaves aswell!
Great tutorial at any rate ;3
@TheVisceral89 All I used for the non-final render model was a bunch of planes with alpha textures on them, which basically came down to me just duplicating a plane a billion times. It wasn't either educational nor interesting to watch so I decided to cut it 🙂
The stuff i wanted to learn from this was making the leaf conope…..the rest sure is intresting but i would love to see a nice leaf making tutorial since many artist have problems with this.
thanx for gr8 info. I like these kind a tutorials.
