Blender is a free and open-source 3D computer graphics software product used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, 3D printed models, interactive 3D applications and video games.
Blender Foundation. Web site: (http://www.blender.org)
Blender is a multi platform software, specially dedicated to modeling, lighting, rendering, animation and three-dimensional graphics. Also digital compositing using procedural nodes technique, video editing, sculpture (including dynamic topology) and digital painting. In Blender, moreover, may develop video games since it has an internal engine games.
Cross-platform, free, free and with a really small size compared to other source 3D packages, depending on the operating system on which it runs.
Accommodates a variety of geometric primitives, including curves, polygon meshes, accuracy, NURBS, metaballs.
Along with inverse kinematics animation tools, armor or deformations grid vertices of static and dynamic loading and particles included.
Edit audio and video synchronization.
Interactive features for games such as collision detection, dynamics and logic recreations.
Versatile internal rendering possibilities and external integration with powerful ray tracer or “raytracer” free as kerkythea, YafRay or Yafrid.
Python language to automate and control multiple tasks.
Blender accepted graphic formats such as TGA, JPG, Iris, SGI, or TIFF. You can also read Inventor files.
3D game engine integrated with a system of logic bricks. For more control used Python programming language.
Dynamics simulations to softbodies, particles and fluids.
Stackable switches for the application of non-destructive processing on meshes.
Static system to simulate hair and fur, which has added new properties from the options shaders to achieve realistic textures particles.
Ability to Match moving.
Chaos & Evolutions includes Alchemy and GIMP 2.6.6 patched with GIMP-painter for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux, as well as a customized brush kit, and all WIP files. it also includes MyPaint for Windows and Linux.
All the examples have been done with only free and open source software, mainly GIMP. You can follow the tutorials with your own 2D application too; like Photoshop / Painter / TVPaint / Krita / etc.
By purchasing this DVD you support the Blender Foundation projects
