The Blender Beginner Donut series continues! Level 3 is all about making a standalone glass of coffee (which we’ll combine with our donut in Level 4).
You’ll learn about creating something from a reference photo, subdiv modelling, glass materials, volumetrics and texturing.

"We need to give it some thickness. Now can you remember the modified that will give your coffee cup thickness..if you…"
And I was like YES YES YES YES I KNOW !! I know! Eeh Solidify! Yes! I remember yes yes! I remember!
"if you remember it, do it now"
And I was like yes YES I REMEMBER (again). I can do it! Where is my solidify..HERE! Watch! Ha !

  2. Donut master… You should go work at baking factory…
You know that peeps who don't have beard get it right away when their life goes misery and goes bar drink few hours… Well at least movie world…

BTW. you look bit like Tom Cruise now… just a bit but it is there…

  3. (Don't know if anyone already told but)Tip: You can just drag n drop an image from like explorer in to Blender and Blender will create a plane with the image on for reference. Pretty neat. And yeah, keep the beard! 😀

  4. I'm also using 8.1 but my reference image isn't showing up; it's invisible. But when my cursor floats over the center or edges then yellow handles appear by which I can scale (at the edges) or move (from the center) my reference, which remains invisible.

What might be causing this issue? I'd love to work from reference but it seems that I can't.
