Blender For Noobs – How to make a minion. This tutorial is for intermediate Blender users.
In this tutorial, we cover the modeling process to create a simple version of a minion as seen in the movie “Despicable Me”. After modeling the minion, we set up camera, backdrop and lighting to finish off with a render.

Note that this is an INTERMEDIATE tutorial. You will need some working knowledge of Blender – how to work with the interface and basic modeling skills and also how to setup Blender Cycles.

If you are interested in doing some texturing on your Minion, check here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mw3etcjL47o

Thanks for the tutorial. I just got a 3D printer and was wondering if this minion could be printed out? The printer needs a .stl format. Does Blender do that type of file format or export to that type of format?
