Once you've done this is there a way to simplify the model? as mine is over 2mb for something real basic.
thanks so much. Blender is so confusing lmao
Ok. I was wondering if all the close sections of faces I was getting with another project I'm doing was okay. You seem to have no problem. This vid was very helpful. Thank you.
No joy. I can not get the entire object to select all. It will only select one. Driving me insane.
Didn't work, when I press E the image only duplicates with a empty space between…
Very helpful. God Bless you and all the other tutorial creators on here. x

Hi Blended, this tutorial looks very simple and give precise details, thank you very much. I don't mind the robot voices, it's nice and clear, I think it's really a great video.
I just hope you can help me, as I have a problem with the colors. I made an png with Gimp 2.10.6 of a PCR tyre, saved it and opened it in Inkscape (as Gimp 2.10 cannot convert to svg). The problem starts after Path choosing Trace Bitmap. When set the scans to 3, it seems a lot of colours dissapear and the top layer contains only some grey and white, although I've checked "colors" and checked "remove background" as well. The picture is transparent, maybe that is the reason why this problem occurs? Please help, greatings from the Netherlands
its a shame it sees all the white in my image as background and removes them.
Thank you super uber much! This worked!
Did I get the perfect ad? It's about this thing called… I forgot.

too complicated !
Love this!
Very good use of free and open source graphic programs.
RIP Steven Hawkings.
thanks, does Blender have an option to remove triangles to make this a polymesh?
whenever i try to import svg it opens nothing or just a blckk and white mess
You stopped short of where my problems started. I need a bevel on the shapes. Those ugly tris made that impossible. Remesh doesn't work, because it keeps the hard edges, with a regular "dumb" topo everywhere else. Bevel shader is not working either, but I don't think it's ready for action yet, because it's not in the stable release. I even tried modelling the bevel outlines in Inkscape, and bridge them by hand. The occlusions and their different vertex count made that a nightmare as well. I ended up doing everything by hand. In retrospect, I might have put the shapes in a font, and used the bevel function there. I got it done but I can't say I've got a method now.
Die.
THANK YOU
I'm trying to 3D print a local companies logo on something for a friend
This made it 1000000x easier
Thanks!
did not know that one can become a graphic designer in 5 minutes…. awsome
IS there anyway to fast correct this mesh? What If I would like to deform this logo and bend it over e.g. cylinder. And then attach it to the half empty cylinder and mirror it – so I can get the nice looking ring (e.g. 3d Printing) Then this messy triangle mesh wouldn`t allow me to do that – try to bend this – it won`t be possible. The subdivide also is not an option because if it would be too much subdivided then the manual connecting to other element wouldn`t be possible (so that the mesh would be stable and nice to 3D printing). Do you have any ideas how to do that?
I cant see any images in blender pls help me
I might have cleaned the mesh before extruding it at 3:50, but that said, very interesting tutorial, as I never guessed you could import inkscape svg into Blender. So thanks a bunch !
thank you.
