I have blender v 2.77, in textures my default type was image or movie, not clouds – simple enough to change, however I just get a flat blue surface following this tutorial that is reflective (somewhat)…. what did they change that made it quit working?
It looks great and realistic but it has over 30,000 triangles which is way too much for an android game, I think I will try using a water image as a texture and create a bump map.
Correct me if I am wrong, but this is a procedural texture, not a shader. The reason I mention it, is that if you try this in BGE, it will not work, because the BGE does not yet handle procedural textures. I was looking for a shader tutorial that would work in BGE.
Can the shader be exported so it canbe used in other bullet physics engines, like a .FX file format very nice and clear tut. thx and hope to see more tuts from you.
Awesome thanks! This works great for still images; if I'm trying to use this in an animated scene, any suggestions as to what I could keyframe on the timeline so that my ocean is moving and not just a completely still image?
