In this animation, I explain Aperture and how it interacts with the various parameters of photography.

I am releasing an animation with a similar style to this one every month, so stay subscribed for more. Feel free to leave criticism in the comments, but keep in mind that I am still learning After Effects and Illustrator. Also, leave suggestions for different video topics. I plan on covering the other two pillars of photography: Shutter Speed, and ISO, as well as Focal Length.

Aperture Laboratories, otherwise known as Aperture Science, or simply Aperture, is a top-secret organization located in an abandoned salt mine in Michigan. The company's last known CEO, Cave Johnson, started the business by providing shower curtains for the U.S. Army. At that time, the company went under the name "Aperture Fixtures", before diversifying their assets into experimental research. It was later found that the government-funded agency Black Mesa acquired various patents from Aperture regarding portable, controlled wormhole-generating technology. Officially, Caroline [REDACTED], Johnson's secretary, is the current CEO of the company, but her whereabouts still remain unknown.
ISO, Check
Aperture, Check
Now onto Shutter speed!
These videos are great!
I'm doing a piece of coursework on photography and maths and trust me when I say I've read about 15 different definitions for aperture and focal length and have looked at at least 50 different websites on photography. They all say they're going over the basics but it's so complex the way they explain it. This is the best video I have come across and it is so clear and HELPFUL so THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Explained well. Peace. ✌️✌️
Newbie here. I know a little bit about the trinity but this made it all clearer. Thank you, my sir! Also, I'm @elddiebenigay and @eldz_b on Instagram if you want to connect. 😀

This is Funny he labelled sclera as cornea
Many thanks, great information really clear and concise.
Large apertures are soft around the edges of the frame, depending on glass quality f5.6 to f/8 is the best image quality you can get from a lens.
сделайте русские субтитры, пожалуйста
the smaller the aperture the less lights gets in.But the shutter speed is so slow,so my images will get blurry because of my hand.Do you guys have tips other than using a stand?
But why aperture affects the amount of focused area? I never understands the physics of this reason. Everyone just say this by experience ,but nobody explains the proper reason
Thanks for the video. Now I know what is aperture..
This is the best video I have watched to explain aperture

I thought the pupil expanded or shrinked instead the iris. I gotta double check that.
2:00
The white area is sclera not cornea . Iris gives colour to cornea which is transparent.
