Fantastic tutorial! I have one question though… you mentioned that the skinning is only done by selecting the MAIN Arm joints. So exactly how do you do this? In the Outliner? Thanks.
puff the best…:)
Are there any good Bind Skin tools for Maya, especially if you're someone who was raised on 3DS Max?
I was struggling so much with the rigging but thanks to you I finished my first rig. It's not beautiful, but it's mine and I'm proud of it. Thank you for these tutorial, you've helped me a lot.
my FK/IK handle is acting weird
Is importing just the rig possible in maya???? And is it possible to re-mold/Re-model a character once rigged and skinned?
Just finished off 5 of the 7 tutorials. GREAT !!! Started to listen to 6/7 and discovered that you were looking at doing Facial Rigging. Then noticed the dates you last were here. Shame you didn't continue. But thanks again for what you did share with us and learned a lot. Well explained.
Cheers & THANKS

Thank you so much for these tutorials! They were very easy to follow along with my own model and I learned so much from them
interactive bind immediately crashed Maya after I hit apply, luckily I saved just before
Excellent tutorial! Really well explained! Thank you very much!
Do you select clothing geometry if you plan to use nCloth dynamics for clothes? Or are nCloth clothes not connected to skeletal rigs?
One question: I saw all 7 videos but you did IK handle just for Left side, what about the right side? If you told i should forgot but can you tell me?
after i do bind skin,my finger donot rotate correctly only joint rotate correctly..wats the problem??
Why don't you Freeze Transforms on you Geo?
Nice to FINALLY hear from a girl/lady for a change, lol. Thanks I learned a lot!!!!
what about rigging in right side of character??
Just wanna say that this series has been a HUGE help for me! A few things go a little wonky when working from 2015 to 2016, but it wasn't anything I (or someone with the least bit of experience with the system) couldn't figure out. Thanks a bunch!
great series. helped me a lot. how about having a quadruped rigging series too? 🙂
I'm more of an environmental artist/level designer. Now I'm learning about character modeling and animation. This video is a perfect "Parachute Pack" in my Crash Course in learning about modeling and rigging!!
I love how you don't insult your viewers as if we're in pre-school and you don't blaze through the tutorial as if we are masters of Maya. You do an excellent job of instructing and guiding us. Thanks a bunch!
how do i move the character around my scene? the feet stay where i put it and i can't move them
I already followed all the steps, but i have a problem. Do you have any tutorial on making the global scale of the character because if i wanted to scale or resize the character, the rig won't follow the character. Please help. Great character tutorial by the way.
