OMG YES! I LOVE ARCHITECTURE, thanks soo much CG Geek, you're a god 😀
hi how to put blended file to blender
really nice tut.
why u dont use snap ? is it a secret ?,sry for the question but it is .
i know it is for beginners but is it to heavy to tell , there are a snap feature and we can use it ?
i like the tut`s but im in wonder bout this.
Adding door is easier with using archimesh addon :p
I have a problem: When i add a new object the rotation is always randomized but not zeroed out. i always have to zero the rotation but with the window again the rotation is random but i cant zero out the rotation in the transform tab because it is set to zero but the window is rotated so i have to rotate it to zero manually and it isnt perfect. How can i solve this problem?
i like the way you say "roof" ;D nice tutorial!

26:49 When I use the knife tool (k) I can not delete the two sides of the wall, just one, what do I have to do to make the tool cut on both sides?
Thanks for this!
Modern houses are the only types possible to make in blender because of the perfect rectangularness
+CG Geek Are world nodes imported when importing your project from Blender into Unity?
Good tutoral, but there's to much talk. I mean, it's too long that it becomes tiring.
it could be steevg geek
dude nigga is you blind until 15:20?:D nice tutorial thanks!
the field keeps downloading as a zip and wont let me open
So, what approach would you apply to modeling the different materials of a real life building to which you do not have access? How does someone go about making the textures for a building which is as described, and which is not necessarily fully photographically documented, but with an exterior that is mostly is comprised of the same few materials with each material being the same color everywhere it's used? Would you ordinarily use whatever closeup photographs there are to make the textures for the exterior features and just extrapolate that to the entire thing, or use wide shots to make a more complete but less detailed, blurrier texture that only works from a distance, or what?
aren't the floorplans copyrighted ?

When you made the knife cut to have space for the door you commented about how you would have to manually face fill dozens of times. With the recent versions of blender you can just select all the polygons that need to be filled and press F, they will automatically be filled.
NICE!!!!
50:07 ????
man you are just awesome
Dont have the "use nodes" option please helpp
How do you recommend learning how to use node editors? Whether it's in Maya, Blender, or any other program, I always dread the phrase because they're just so beyond me…
Thank you for this tutorial – nice work mate! Still, having an actual architectural background I lack the sense of precision. Even with Sketchup it's eash to have milimeter accurate models easily. I would love to learn how to achieve this sense of accuracy without much hassle in Blender
I'm trying to follow this tut and im no way new to blender but this is impossible to follow with you messing up and changing everything around! So frustrating! Maybe I need more practice?
Please attach the sample (Image or material –> exa. Tree, Rock) is really helpfull. Please
thank you for these tutorials, it was informative and good to see how someone actually goes about doing this. Plus the narration was nice. Ruff ruff.
A ruff a ruff the man said a ruff
thanks for your tutorial bcoz i'm student of civil engineering
How do u get the mixing nodes to show up in the shaders menu? I can't find the the "use nodes" button that used to be there
Guys if your reference image does not show up initially it is because you are in perspective mode not orthographic.. :/ just go in view and click toggle pers/ortho you're welcome :0
Great idea for a tutorial, but man-o-man, you gotta slow down or just slap on that this tutorial is for intermediate to advanced. I found myself pausing and rewinding the video more than anything else. Basically, you lost me at the first part making the slats for the deck. I will come back to this tutorial in a bit, after I've gotten more mastery of Blender under my skin. But right now, the pace of this tutorial is just too quick and leaves out so much that is just "assumed" that the viewer knows.
Your style is great, though, so I"m not dissing that or the obvious effort and care you put in to this, so thanks!
you're going so fast…
i've made it learning from you.. can i add this to my portfolio of mine? just portfolio purpose and for nothing else 🙂
Can only seem to get the 1k version of the HDR… Any advice?
That first wood texture isn't displayed. Gray color of the cube just became darker. Before this I did according to tutorial. What could I did wrong?
P.s In the preview texture looks fine. I did nodes, world setting and scene setting according to tutorial.
for those who don't know yet how to use Blender properly I recommend you guys to see Blender Guru's videos by Andrew Price

54:27 — you can fill those ends with half the number of mouse clicks by using edge-select mode. Then you just have to click two opposite edges in each case, rather than having to click all four corner vertices.
Or even quicker still, alt-click any edge to select the entire open end.
13:06 you can turn on AO in the preview window without having to select Matcap as well.
26:39 have you thought of using the Boolean modifier to cut the doorways?
4:26 the screencast keys addon was dropped a long while back, because it doesn’t work reliably.
I use key-mon instead. It’s not Blender-specific.
DVD link to nowhere?
how much vram is utilized when rendering the whole thing? is 2GB vram enough?
