  1. 1. disagree. the battery should go in your front pocket because there should already be another battery on the charger. During the next break, get the fresh battery and put the dead one on charger.

    2. changing lenses…nikon only puts a small white dot to line up the lens and camera. i made them into bigger arrows to make it easier to quickly find.

and my #18, don't put a bunch of crap in your pockets. lens cap, battery(ies), memory cards, base plate, teleconverter, etc. it looks unprofessional to have pockets jammed full of stuff.

  2. These are some great tips. If I could give my own regarding the viewing experience, it would be to slow down a little and talk a little more softer and calmer. I felt a little stressed watching this video lol. Thanks though dude, some great stuff here 🙂

  3. its weird to me that photographers use auto focus, i came from making wedding films, and never would i trust auto focus in a video setting, so its just hard wired into me and seems so odd that people use autofocus. is it just because it is faster?

  4. I'm a model and one of the thing photographer should know is to stop shooting when they have enough pictures. You don't need 100 pictures of a model to show 1 piece of close. Something between 10 and 20 is enough. If it's more then you're not sure about your skill.

  5. Did I really just waste that few seconds of my life, we got to lenses and I had to just stop the video. A video for the sakes of a video. We can of course say 'you should wait and watch the rest' but my main issue is with the inference that we 'should' be able to do these things as fast as you have decided, for us. Kind of patronising really.

  6. Great helpful video. Your all videos are so much informative and easy to understand. Plz make a video on Histogram for beginners. And may you give the link or name of the battery charger you use.
Plz reply. Thanks in advance. 🙂

  7. I stumbled onto this video. But sure glad I did, because I totally agree with the point of this video. How prepared you are on a day to day basis separates you from the rest. I find myself timing myself on doing stuff like switching camera modes, getting the camera out of the bag, putting the used battery immediately back on the charger… So this video hits the point right on. Thanks!

  8. I find that being in studio or on set shouldn't matter. Often times whenever I'm working I don't change lenses. For simplicity, I just take two cameras, each with a lens that I'm going to be using. Not everyone can have 2 professional bodies but believe me it's SOOOO nice to have the convenience there

  9. Lens changing… I put the lens between my legs. The tripot wasn't clear to me, first open then camera then expand the legs? I alwas expand the legs first and then open. If you open first and than expand you probably turn it around to get to the knobs of the other legs….. wait till you hit something. The 'standard settings' is a good one for when I have to be fast.
