is there a cheap alternative to that vertical grip, or for starters does anyone know the model and make? Thanks.
Hi there. When referring to Medium sized BeautyDish, what size are you talking about? I've tried to google what size is medium sized Beauty Dish, but with no luck. Would it be 55cm or 42cm? How much beauty dish size really matter? Thanks so so so much for an answer!
What's that lens goodness? I love it.
Exaggerating!!! One Light does it all…

I like that little tripod you had at the bottom, where can I get that?

really nice tutorial : )
And then all of a sudden the music from Riptide GP2 starts
How do you measure the light in this setup? Straight from profoto's airTTL? It has to be HSS as well right?
Haha. That dish looked like it was going to smack hom atop his head.
Should've brought a beauty model in, instead of insulting David like that lol
Very informative. I like how you showed the basic setup, the errors, the slight modifications, and explained it all really well. Subscribed π

use a wide open aperture like 85mm?
Whatsss????
Well done!
It would be a better comparison if the eyes were in focus on the second shot.
ok could you also use the reflector for the fill light ??
oh! and don't forget to use a really hot model.
lol Harry Potter with the Camera Skills!
now I need to know how u retouch it…
Can you do this with multiple Nikon SB-910's. How do you do it ?
dayum that background music is sexy
I love that "weird ring look in the eyes", though.
2 translucent umbrella could do the job or is it too diffuse a light and it will not make enough shadows ?
How big is the beauty dish your using?
great tutorial! Thanks for sharing!!
I Like that Doll Toy on your Light Stand can you please tell me where you got that ?
Nice learning Video thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us really appreciating …. kirtancreative gmail
The music is quite annoying.
You guys are awesome!
I have an odd question for you. At any point during this video, did you use a light meter? If yes, which one? If no, that's cool. Did you just keep shooting until you got the shot you wanted? No details needed, but you did you shoot in manual, aperture priority? By the way, the reason for the question is I am debating on getting a light meter. I think I want it just to want it as from what I can tell, no one appears to be shooting with one on a regular. I want it as I hope it will help me replicate certain setups/shots once I get my gear. Thanks in advance for your response.
I tried this tonight, bad ass!! Thank you so much!
Which beauty dish do you recommend? can you recommend a budget friendly one and a pricier one?
If you don't want to spend $2000 for Profoto strobes to reduce power simply put a 2 or 3 stop neutral density gel over your old powerful studio strobes. You'll save $1995. You don't need to spend $. As someone once said "light is light", there are many cheaper ways to control your existing strobes.
OMG HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA π
