This is the first look into character rigging. Rigging is such a wide area, so these tutorials are going to be uploaded in parts. The first part is:

– Setting up the skeleton.

The next tutorial will be comming soon. In the next tutorial we will be looking at how to setup the leg.

  1. Question: When i duplicate and move the joints like at 1:47 i get the following:
    // Warning: Joint orientation aborted. joint24 has non-zero rotations.
    Will that be a problem later on in the rig? I did everything like in the video. Can somebody help? Thanks

  2. I just want to thank you so much for these tutorials i missed my 3d animation class where we went over all the rigging and this helped me so much! great tutorial! your really good at what you do keep it up
