I was about to panic when I didn't see my pillar (yes, it's called a pillar) on my AE86 model but then I remembered that it's an 80's car. It won't be all curvy n' stuff.

Still loving this. Seen so many other car modelling videos that waffled for far too long, or started from the side which makes a little less sense for me.

Why when I extrude does it double vertices ? I always have to merge them afterwards…

Great method! People usually begin modelling with boxes, but this approach seems a lot easier, I'll try it out

Im trying to model a 2016 Camaro SS and its kinda different from the car you use in your videos, and it doesn't have black outlines for the windows and the little area behind the door or whatever is hard to model while making perfect quadrilaterals. All the shapes are rectangles but theyre all stretched out and when I go to the front view of the reference picture and my model, everything looks weird and the back of the car is bigger than the front. The part where its on the side of the car under the back window (where the gas thing would be), when I tried to match the vertices with it, the tip was too sharp. And when I looked at your model, nothing was sharp or messy, everything was smooth, even though the shading was flat. I dont know what to do about the sharpness and mixed up vertices. Help?

the plural of a vertex is vertices. The actual word isn't vertice.

I'm having a really hard time, but due to the blueprint, the side view has almost no relation with the front one so any change I make on one perspective ruins eveyrthing on the others.
The tutorial is amazing though, easy and effective.

    Nice tutorial, easy to follow.
I want just to mention, that you don't need shift+alt+right_click to select an edge loop, just alt+right_click. You have to use shift when select multiple edge loops.
    Happy Blending!

I believe the side parts you were talking about in 2:18 are called quarter panels. But great tutorials mines a bit off but thats because I'm making it as perfect as possible on my end

Really good again, thank you. Really enjoying these. Tried other Blender car tutorials, but can't really get on with them. The pace of your's suits me perfectly. Question: Tried modelling some other cars, setting the blueprints up as you have and I've found they never seem to line up. Is it common for blueprints to not line up, or am I doing something wrong? How do you solve this issue?

I need help!, every time I press “G” to drag around my dots it keeps creating another line or it extrudes another one 🙁
