  1. Can you do something like this on any 3d modeling software as easily? something such as 3d studio max or Maya by Autodesk? I'm already a little familiar with the Autodesk programs, and I really don't want to have to learn a new program such as blender. I love the art style of the low-poly creatures and objects, but I'm afraid if I have to re-learn modeling and such, I may become unmotivated.

  2. awesome looks like it would be GREAT in a low poly game of some kind! with a low poly art style but still looks nice!
    Try to keep limbs slightly thin though because fur grows on limbs.. the limbs dont grow as thick as the fur. so they dont look TOO stubby.
    but looks great and nice overall.
    I like the method. I know blender pretty well but i'm not the best at modeling. I can do some interesting quirky things with modeling though.
    My favorite and most accustomed to version of blender is 2.49b
