  1. no problem man. still you were right with me knowing almost nothing about 3d animation. i can make models at a moderate level, but thats it. now thanks to andrew, i know how to texture and the basics of using water and particles, but im a long way off from learning how to animate like i want too.

  2. its not boring, its tedious, and tends to get boring when your new/ocd and spend a lot more time on a model than you should, especially when you forget all the shortcuts you can use, or when you fuck up using one. trust me, be careful with the mirror modifier if your new, back up your project. its almost faster to remake the model if you fuck it up as bad as i did early on.

  3. your right, i do know little as im just beginning, but ive studied lots of geology and astronomy so i know great things require large amounts of time.

as for my comment, i was referring to the fact that once you understand/grasp those larger timescales, the amount of time it takes to make a quality animation is not even a blink of an eye and weeks and months start to look like passing hours when compared with the movements of celestial bodies.
