    i don't get it. when i select 1 vert and press ctrl + b, exactly nothing happens. only if i select two or more. why?

    The landscape of rocks, sand and sea is beautiful, and I like palm trees made of several bark layers. The sunlight reflected on the sea is also wonderful! Did you use an emission shader?
