The History of Toy Photography

Code Canyon

The history of toy photography is just as long and winding as the history of the medium itself, dating all the way back to at least 1917 if not earlier. Today I’m going to talk about where toy photography lies within the genre, and the photographers that paved the path for what toy photography is today. Hope you enjoy!

That was great! A fascinating look at our history. Name-checked some of my favorite photographers, and turned me on to several I didn't know. I'm looking forward to the follow-up!

I totally forgot to mention Dare Wright, author and photographic illustrator of the Lonely Doll series pushed from 1957 to 1981. Did I miss anyone else big?
