This episode of Weird Sh!t is about Blender’s Dynamic Paint system.
I received some questions about a technique used for an animation I made, so this episode is a breakdown of how the effect works.
You can find the animation here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BMcMPyplu__/?taken-by=the__mantissa

GReat stuff
Can you do a tutorial on how you made your introvideo, or is that a family secret? If so, I totally understand.
Hi and thanks for the tut. Is it possible to give those figures material and how?
Thanks again
G
Why am I not able to render it? Ive tried turning on true displacement. Whenever I try to Render , i just get the plain sphere … ๐
This series in amazing. Love your work and your channel. Thank you so much for making these videos. ๐
When I assign the empty to the displace modifier, the shape immediately become more spherical (like an urchin, even distance between center and outside peaks) but yours doesn't, I wonder why… http://imgur.com/a/NXnyC
You should do a video on how you go about applying materials to these animations.
This is awesome! ๐
Subscribed to your channel. Love your videos man! Finally something for a bit advanced users! Keep them coming, you are doing a wonderful job. ๐
subbed!!
Man, I love the sound of your keyboard, which are you using?
Brilliant!!! These truly are some cool modifiers and procedural effects.ย I'm very grateful you've exposed them as would haven't figured out how to do it.
Hee ๐ Is it possible to use the dynamic paint as influence for transparency/visibility of an object?
Sure glad I stumbled upon you…..
Loving the Weird Shit episodes!
I have a question, how do you give the dynamic paint interesting materials?
please explain how to create that dinamic material and textures! That's awesome dude!
Pretty cool! I wonder if you can include micro-displacement to the effect? It would really look wild with that! :O)
Nice video
your animation intro is very cool.
Great Episodes. Would love to see more detail on materials / rendering and of course more of this weird abstract sh!t ๐
Master of the "Displace"!. Thank you so much for sharing your videos.Sorry for the mistakes.
