WEIRD SH!T EP002 – Devouring Dynamic Paint [BLENDER]

Code Canyon

This episode of Weird Sh!t is about Blender’s Dynamic Paint system.

I received some questions about a technique used for an animation I made, so this episode is a breakdown of how the effect works.
You can find the animation here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BMcMPyplu__/?taken-by=the__mantissa

Can you do a tutorial on how you made your introvideo, or is that a family secret? If so, I totally understand.

Why am I not able to render it? Ive tried turning on true displacement. Whenever I try to Render , i just get the plain sphere … πŸ™

When I assign the empty to the displace modifier, the shape immediately become more spherical (like an urchin, even distance between center and outside peaks) but yours doesn't, I wonder why… http://imgur.com/a/NXnyC

You should do a video on how you go about applying materials to these animations.

Brilliant!!! These truly are some cool modifiers and procedural effects.Β  I'm very grateful you've exposed them as would haven't figured out how to do it.

Pretty cool! I wonder if you can include micro-displacement to the effect? It would really look wild with that! :O)
