  1. yes but by using the composoting system your not adding more geometry, and on high def models you dont want to have to do that, also in high def models you already have the uvs as systems, going into cycles node setup is just simple math for the render engine, doesnt really add much time when your rendering out a bunch of things as layers for post compositing

  2. Hey guys, I also rendered a short animation featuring the 19 BILLION polygon Island created by Agus, the guy who invented this wireframe method. Agus was very pleased to see it animated (he's a nice guy) and it took two days to render the animation. You can watch the animations with it on my channel. I posted it as vid response to this, but it hasn't been approved yet…
